Information Technology Consultant - Designed and implemented bebe's data warehouse system using DataStage
extraction, transform and loading (ETL) tool. Integrated network links between Informix-based OLTP systems (both Retail
and Manufacturing) and Oracle (Planning) systems using DataStage as the middle tier. Created a set of inventory and 
sales reports from their data warehouse system using Cognos Impromptu PL/SQL-based interfaces for Arthur (JDA) 
Planning System on Oracle 8.0.5 DBMS, which included stored procedures for weekend processing. Responsible for
basic Linux systems on an as-needed basis. Also, created an SMTP-based notification alert messaging system in Perl
and interfaced it utilizing DataStage macros.

performed application programming, which involved maintaining a Pick-based design system that allowed designers to 
create cost styles. Programmed several Pick applications to bridge Informix with existing systems. Responsible for 
SMTP internet email server, DNS, web server and firewall configuration and adminstration. Managed staff of five technical 
personnel. Also, was responsible for all LAN and WAN TCP/IP network administration.

Systems Manager/Programmer - Responsible for Pick programming for a women's apparel manufacturer. Programmed
a front-end design system for creating patterns and styles. Integrated Pick DBMS with Informix and Watcom SQL in 
order to integrate client/server applications with PowerBuilder. PowerBuilder applications included printing pattern, style,
cost and line sheets and were subsequently integrated with Pick-based data and bitmap images. Converted 
Lantastic-based network to TCP/IP. Responsible for putting company on the Internet by implementing SMTP email, a 
DNS (internal and external) firewall and both FTP and web servers.

bership and Claims Systems. Automated entire Utilization Review Department with new Referral and Hospital Systems.
In addition, implemented program and documentation standards.
American Red Cross Mid-Michigan Chapter, Lansing, MI        7/83 - 9/86
Consultant/Programmer - Developed a system to record, calculate and report progress on blood drive goals using 
RPG-II on an IBM 34 system. System provided daily detail reporting from the donation operations records including 
summaries, as well as, a linear regression model to project future donations.
